7th Post (Last One!)

Thanks everyone for reading my LAST POST EVER!!!! The post topic for today is of all the places we have learned about this year, which would you visit? I would visit the beautiful island country of New Zealand! New Zealand is really cool because it is a beautiful place and there are so many things to do. In New Zealand, there are two islands, North Island and South Island. North Island has bigger cities and things to do, but South Island has plenty to do as well. New Zealand is pretty groovy cool.

The past two weeks have been awesome! Well, mostly yesterday and today. A bunch of people gathered at Matt Carroll's lake house and had a crazy party! We played frisbee, COD, Halo, basketball, ping pong, swam, and ate candy! In all, it was amazing. Also, on Thursday, we had choir auditions. We were auditioning to see who would be placed into a higher choir. I pray that I made it because choir is my passion and I plan to get a music scholorship to Boston University to become one of the Dear Abbey's! They are a singing group located at Boston U, much like the Harvard Low Keys (just way better). Well, thanks for reading everybody! I would say see you next time, but there isn't one. Well, once again thanks for reading!

6th Post

Hello readers! This is my 6th blog post. Today the topic is overpopulation. Recently, there have been a few countries that have been struggling with overpopulation. To name a few, we have India, Japan and China. In China they have a one child policy, to restrict the population growth because of the overpopulation factor. If a family has more than one child then they have to pay a fine. In Japan there are little hotels where people can stay and the rooms are tiny little rooms with a bed and a tv. So obviously many countries are worried about overpopulation. If I had to deal with overpopulation, I would make a one child policy like in China. I would do this because it works, and it can help stop this problem.

The past two weeks have been pretty average. Not too much going on. Choir U.I.L went pretty well. We got all 2's on singing and all 1's on sightreading, which is pretty decent. I hope we do better next year but until then, we are going to have to work. Thanks for reading my post! Get ready for my next post, because sadly, it is my last. 'Till then!

5th Post

Hello readers! This is my 5th topic this semester. This is a fun topic in my opinion because we are supposed to talk about what object we would put in a time capsule. The thing I would put in a time capsule would be a computer, with an itunes library full of the best music of all time. I would do this because the future people could see some of our technology after they got rid of it and upgraded to better computers and they can see how music has developed through the ages. I think that this would be a good thing for them, because when they are listening to techno, they can listen to Led Zepplin and discover how amazing it is. Then they can throw away off of their techno!

The past two weeks have been pretty cool. Last Sunday was Easter, so that was fun. We have Choir U.I.L. this week on Tuesday, which I personally think will go pretty well. Our super duper exciting movie project is due on Tuesday as well. The country I have is New Zealand, and both my movie and my essay are coming along quite well. Thanks for reading everyone! 'Till next time!

4th Post

Hello eager readers! My blog topic on this wonderful Saturday is about culture. Now doesn't that sound exciting? Don't answer, it was a rhetorical question, and quite frankly I can't hear you through the computer. Now the regions we have studied are all very interesting, but the one I personally enjoyed the most would be the area around India. You know, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, etc... Now I liked this area because a long time ago I had a friend named Jacob, and no, he was not a gay werewolf. He was born in Bangladesh, and visited it quite often. I thought that it was really neat to be learning about this country and other countries around it. I think that the religions are all very interesting especially Hinduism. I think that Hinduism has some very cool beliefs and I would like to learn more about all of the gods associated with it. Now for my reflection of the past two weeks.

The past two weeks were pretty awesome. One of those weeks was Spring Break so it was awesome. The choir trip to St. Louis was amazing (Justice!!) and so was seeing my choir teacher, Mr. A, perform with his band, Monarchs, at SXSW. Yesterday was our pre-UIL concert clinic for choir and I thought we did decently but we need some work on the song I thought was going to go the best; Innisfree. Well, thats about it, thanks for reading my blog everybody! Till next time!

3rd Post

Hello blog! The question this week is a Romeo and Juliet question. It is, is it better to fall in love or to learn to love? Well, the obvious answer, and my answer is that it is much better to fall in love yourself. If your husband or wife is chosen for you, then you will probably not be truly in love with him or her, and so you both will not be happy with each other. If you are married to someone you don't love, then you will be miserable. Now some people may think otherwise, but I think it would be better to fall in love then to have your husband or wife picked out for you.

The past two weeks have been pretty good. Last weekend was solo and ensemble. I didn't do as well as I thought I would do, I forgot some of the words, but I got a two, which is not bad. Not too much has really happened, we had a full day practice for our F.A.M.E. concert. I thought it went really well! Well thanks for reading! Till next time!

2nd Post

Hello readers! Thanks for tuning in to my epic 2nd blog post! This is a free topic on what I am interested in. So I thought, hey, this would be a good time to talk about the bass guitar. I recently started taking bass lessons, and I have gotten pretty good! I just learned today how to play some blues riffs and they are pretty sweet. I think I will post some videos. This first video is of Jaco Pastorius playing a song called Portrait of Tracy. He is an amazing bassist. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXOnhzoC-i8
This next one is Scar Tissue by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Flea is their bassist, he is also incredible. In the video he is on the left side of the stage.
And thats what I'm interested in, thanks for reading!

The past two weeks have been average. Last week was Valentine's Day so that was okay. Solo and ensemble for choir is coming up next Saturday. I am singing a song called An Die Musik. This is a man named Erich Kunz singing it. Lets hope I sound like him!
Well thanks for reading! Stay tuned for my 3rd post!

1st Post

Hello readers! Thank you for tuning in to my first blog for the new semester! My first topic is about technology. In school we mostly just use computers. For entertainment purposes, I have my computer, a television, a phone and an iPod. At home we have computers and a television. These have changed the way I live by simplifying it and adding other ways to learn and use information in and out of school. I personally do not think that any of these new inventions are as great as fire or electricity. But one invention that is semi-recent that completely fits in the list of important inventions is the internet. The internet is probably one of the biggest breakthroughs of all time. It has made life so much easier and has provided people with jobs, educations, and more. Well, this is my post, thanks for reading it! Tune in, not next week but the week after for my 2nd blog post, which will be very interesting, it's a free topic!

The past two weeks have been pretty sweet. Not too much has happened, just the normal stuff. I am super excited for the choir trip to St. Louis, it will be a whole lot of fun! School is okay, there has been quite a lot of homework but it isn't too bad. Thanks for reading!
