7th Post

Hello friends and fellow bloggers, this is my seventh post. This post is a special post, because it is a free topic, so I get to talk about things that I am interested in. I am in the choir at Anderson and I love music. My musical tastes change often so this will probably go against my 3rd blog. I am starting to fully recognize how amazing some older bands are. For example I like Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, The Beatles, The Who, and Queen. Also, I swim a lot. I just recently joined COTA, which stands for Capital Of Texas Aquatics. And so far, it is pretty fun. Well, thats pretty much me.
Reflection
The past two weeks have been pretty exciting. I had my all region choir concert, and switched swim teams from team ATP to COTA. But besides that, not much has happened. Thanks for reading!

6th Post

This week for my post I am required to post a painting by a Latin American artist. The artist I chose is Diego Rivera. Rivera was born on December 8, 1886 and died November 24, 1957. He was married to the Latin American artist Frida Kahlo. Most of his art involved his political views, which in his case was communism. He painted many mosaics, in many cities such as New York, San Francisco, Mexico City, Detroit, and more. The picture of his that I posted is called "The Flower Carrier" and I chose this because I believe it is a good representation of Rivera's work. Diego Rivera was a very talented artist, as was his wife. I think that his mural paintings and open views of communism changed Latin America and the world.

For the past two weeks good things have happened. I auditioned for the school club Fame, and I am accepted(along with the other eight guys that tried out). I'm not yet sure what being a part of Fame entails, but I believe it will be fun. My swim coach moved from our team, team ATP to COTA(Capital of Texas Aquatics) and so most of my team is moving as well. I think it is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and hopefully get better. Thank you for reading my blog, and get ready for the next one!
